Morton has been a leader in the cheer and dance world since 1981. A high school and college cheerleader and dancer, Morton started his career in the cheerleading industry as an instructor for the National Cheerleading Association (NCA). He stayed with the company for 16 years as an instructor, dance choreographer, and west coast manager, ending in 1996. Morton then moved into the all-star cheer and dance world opening in 1995, which was the first cheerleading facility on the west coast. soon grew into a multi-facility company, the first cheer gym to do this, topping off at 8 cheer gyms in California.

Morton’s expertise has been seen throughout the cheer and dance industry through many different facets, but most notably helping start the United States All-Star Federation (USASF), the governing body for all-star cheer and dance in the United States. Morton also has created “Cheer Camps UK,” a cheer and dance camp and choreography company in the UK.

The list of awards and accomplishments Morton has received over the years is impressive. He has been named numerous times as one of the Most Influential People in the Spirit Industry by American Cheerleader magazine. He holds the distinction of being the first member of the Hall of Fame for the USASF, as well as the Hall of Fame for many states and the Spirit Industry Trade Association (SITA). The amount of awards Morton has received as a choreographer and coach are countless.

Now known all over the world, Morton spends much of his time on the road teaching cheer and dance clinics, judging competitions, speaking at conferences and doing choreography. Whether he is in Mexico City helping a dance team or London coaching a cheer team, Morton’s humor, knowledge, and love of the sport is evident.
